If you are interested in being published in www.slatedrake.com please use our Contact Form to submit your idea. Submitting authors receive attribution and a link to their site for published work. We welcome articles from published as well as unpublished authors. Please follow these guidelines:

My “Home” Stream – Your article should be clearly written and progress logically from beginning to end. List the name and location of your stream and define the best locations to fish it, as well as access points. A hatch chart should be included or at least your favorite flies to use on the stream and when to use them. Several photographs should be included.

Tying Time – We are looking for unique flies or tying techniques. Not the standard BYO or Adams dry fly. Include the “recipe”, tying instructions and a high quality photograph of the completed fly.

Lodge Report – Have you had a great experience at a fly fishing lodge? You should include the name, location and contact information of the Lodge. Give a brief overview of the lodge, quality of the accommodations, food and most importantly fishing! Several photographs should be included.

Articles must be submitted in Microsoft Word or OpenOffice format. Photographs must be in JPEG format.
